Toshiba's Unique Dose Reduction Advantage

SPOT FLUOROSCOPY

Vastly Reducing X-Ray Dose to Both Patients and Staff for angiographic studies on infinix systems.

What is Spot Fluoroscopy?

  • Spot Fluoroscopy is a unique Toshiba feature that vastly reduces the Area exposed to radiation during interventional procedures using fluoroscopy
  • On all Infinix i systems we include a Dose Area Product (DAP) meter to display & record total patient dose, this Area Product dose can be greatly reduced using Spot Fluoroscopy mode
  • The Area of exposure is an important factor in calculating total patient dose
  • Toshiba is now 'Spot On' in dose reduction with Spot Fluoroscopy, we can reduce & vary fluoroscopy exposure Area real time on Last Image Hold (LIH) on the Fluoroscopy Monitor

  • Toshiba's Spot Fluoroscopy is a unique dose reduction technology that is able to provide up to 80% reduction in fluoroscopic dose.
  • Spot Fluoroscopy allows fluoroscopy to be performed within an ROI while continuing to display an image outside the ROI. This function reduces the exposure dose of the patient and the operator, and is particularly useful in applications requiring prolonged fluoroscopy.
  • Spot Fluoroscopy is unique to Toshiba with the choice of three ROI's and with a new collimator that allows for asymmetric collimation with off centre fluoroscopy
